Making Some Slow Progress

It's November 1st, 2010. Fall is in full swing, and the chillier weather has moved in to central Missouri. It feels good to me, like an old friend, waving to me from a great distance, and welcoming me, inviting me, to come home again; not necessarily for a visit, either.

Educationally, I'm still decided upon Geospatial Technology as a profession. I don't think I'm going to find it in mid-Missouri, though.

Am still researching Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Will call my Vocational Rehabilitation, Client Assistance Program representative tomorrow and see what's up. She told me she 'had to check on a few things.' I will reserve judgment until I receive more information; then I'll judge all I want ;-) LOL. (Sometimes a little levity is necessary.)

Lately, I've been feeling a comforting stoicism, which is allowing me the ability to 'stand tall in the breeze,' and just let the brouhaha go completely around me. The fact is, I may not sway those in this area to let me go forward without yielding to their desires. Well, I can leave, and shall if nothing goes the way I want it.

It's time to get together with people of like mind, and I'm getting tired of seeming ignorance about and through with the more, so-called, 'professional' people I meet. A degree doesn't necessarily make you a professional; rather, it's an earned, developed Art. ...more later --SB
